Joel Bain Herron, MD - Board

Dr. Herron is a native of Indiana but spent the latter part
of his childhood in South Carolina. He received academic
scholarships to attend the University of South Carolina and
the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in
Columbia, SC, where he received his Bachelor's of Science
and Medical Doctorate degrees, respectively. He completed
his Internship at the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine in Internal Medicine and Dermatology Residency at
Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN,
where he was chief resident his final year. He elected to
pursue two additional years of Fellowship training in Mohs
Micrographic Surgery, Laser Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery
and Cosmetic Surgery in Columbus, OH.
His main interests are general dermatology, skin cancer
treatment and reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, laser
surgery, and facial aesthetics and rejuvenation. He has
been published in national medical journals including The
Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, The American Journal of
Cosmetic Surgery, The Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,
The Archives of Dermatology, Cutis, Skin & Aging, etc. He
has lectured at National meetings including The American
Academy of Dermatology and The American Society for
Dermatologic Surgery.

|
A native of Southeast Ohio, Dr. McKelvey received
his undergraduate degree from Miami University. He
completed medical school at The Ohio State
University College of Medicine followed by an
internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He
returned to The Ohio State University Medical Center
for residency training in dermatology.
Dr. McKelvey has interests in
both medical and surgical dermatology. He also
enjoys teaching and active in the education of
resident physicians. He currently lectures at Ohio
State and is a preceptor for clinics at the VA
Medical Center. Dr. McKelvey is the current
President of the Central Ohio Dermatological
Society.
When he is not practicing
medicine, Dr. McKelvey enjoys spending time with his
family and friends. He is active in sports and
outdoor recreation, and especially enjoys
basketball, golf, waterskiing, fishing, and
supporting the Buckeyes! |

Dr. Cotell grew up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois
and graduated Cum Laude from Duke University. She
attended medical school at Northwestern University,
graduating in the Alpha Omega Honor Society, and
stayed there for her internship and dermatology
residency where she was chief resident in her last
year. After finishing her residency, she opened the
Center for Advanced Dermatology within the
Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group in Chicago
and practiced there for 2 years. She then moved to
Pittsburgh, PA and practiced at Allegheny General
Hospital for 2 ½ years. She has been in a private
practice in Columbus for the last 6 years and is now
pleased to be a part of Northeast Dermatology. Dr.
Cotell has been published in national medical
journals including the New England Journal of
Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine,
International Journal of Dermatology, American
Journal of Emergency Medicine, and the Journal of
Investigative Dermatology.
Dr. Cotell enjoys both general and cosmetic/surgical
dermatology. Her cosmetic/aesthetic interests
include skin rejuvenation including Botox and dermal
fillers, such as Restylane, Radiesse, Perlane and
Juvederm. She also performs laser hair removal as
well as treatment of blood vessels from the face and
legs using lasers and/or sclerotherapy injections.
She emphasizes a comprehensive approach to skin care
including full body skin checks for skin cancer
detection as well as counsels patients on how to
attain and maintain healthy skin.

A native of Northeastern Ohio, Eydie received an
academic scholarship to attend the Ohio State
University where she received her Bachelor’s of
Science degree. To further her career as a medical
practitioner, Eydie completed her Master’s degree in
Physician Assistant Studies at Marietta College. She
obtained clinical training in broad areas of
medicine throughout Columbus and the surrounding
communities. Eydie has trained closely under the
guidance of the physicians of Northeast Dermatology
in order to develop her clinical focus in
dermatology.
